Public Programs is community-curated: you post, the community votes, and green-lit programs happen at RELAY. Here is how it works in practice.
What can I propose or host?
Workshops, classes, neighborhood meetings, affinity groups, performances, skill shares, organizing sessions - if it serves the community, it belongs here. You do not need formal credentials or teaching experience. If you can run it and people want it, that is enough.
What do you not host?
Public program days are for accessible community programming. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9am to 9pm are reserved for paid public programs, and Sundays, 10am to 8pm are reserved for free public programs with The Burrito Brigade. On those days we do not host private invite-only events, external fundraisers, standalone fine art exhibitions, or outside commercial upselling. The full list is in the Program Guidelines.
Excluded entities are not banned from RELAY. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9am to 9pm and Sundays, 10am to 8pm are reserved for public programs; RELAY can serve other groups on other dates. Contact RELAY directly through relaysantafe.org.
How does the money work?
No purchases happen on this platform (at this time). Green-lit programs are ticketed through the Relay website. Proposals can be free, suggested donation, or paid with a ticket price you set.
For paid programs: after tax, the facilitator receives 60% of ticket sales. Relay and Apparatus take 40%, which covers the space and amenities. Relay absorbs all payment processing fees. Facilitators are paid out after their event.
What happens when my post reaches 10 votes?
RELAY x Apparatus staff review it, confirm space and fit, and green-light it. From there we coordinate logistics with the facilitator, set a date, create the ticketed event on the Relay website, and promote it.
When and where do programs happen?
Paid programs run at RELAY on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9am to 9pm. Free programs run Sundays, 10am to 8pm, part of The Burrito Brigade's residency. RELAY is at 2873 All Trades Rd, Studio B, Santa Fe NM 87507.
RELAY also hosts other longer-term programming and residencies. We work to keep these running alongside public programs, but on occasion one takes precedence and that week is set aside for it instead.
